Quote:
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Bank robber John Dillinger's 1930s Model A Ford - which was sprayed by police bullets - is for sale this week at the 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale.

Barrett-Jackson president Steve Davis calls the car "a piece of American gangster history."

He says it's as much a part of Dillinger's legend as his Tommy guns and Colt automatics.

One of Dillinger's most famous escapes occurred April 22, 1934, at a Wisconsin lodge where he and two others hid after a series of holdups.

The lodge's owners tipped off police, who arrived and opened fire on the Ford as the men ecaped.

That would be a pretty badass car to have in your collection. I'm betting Jay Leno snatches this one up.
