I just got done installing one on our car club's forums. Since I'm always seeing people online when I'm on here I figured a shoutbox would probably add some more fun to this site too. Just a thought. :D

Are you talking about a chatbox that usually goes up at the top of the homepage?

Yep. I have a feeling it would be a good thing for this forum since I'm always seeing others online at the same time.

That is true... We just recently put one in at the forum I'm a moderator at and it gets used QUITE often by members to chat and get quick answers to things.

Yep, they can be fun and helpful. I'm enjoying the one I installed on our club forum.

Not to be Debby downer but Im a member of a small forum for NY state roadsters and we have a few more member then this site and we had a shoutbox for a bit. It was using up a ton of bandwidth up and they got rid of it after just a few days.

Really? I used to be in a ps3 clan with about 60 members and they used the xat box and it worked great.

I've had mine up a few days now with no trouble. This is hosted by freeforums tho isn't it so it may not play nice. Didn't think about that.

Chat is up and running. We'll test it out for a few days and see how it goes.

Works great on my work computer (IE) and on my gf's Mac (Safari). However, I can only read the chatbox but not reply when using my BlackBerry Storm. Software clash I suppose???
