I have a 96 vw golf. It has 180,000 miles on it. 2.0L 5-speed. Untill last week i put 60 miles or more a day on the car, that being said the car is a total pile of shit. I stopped driving it because it developed an oil leak at the oil cooler. It kills me to put any work into this turd so im giving up on it. It gets great gas mileage i averaged 30 mpg while beating it like bobby brown beats whitney. It is one of those classic "unsafe at any speed" cars if you read the nader book. The strut towers are rotting out on both sides. Every time I hit a pot hole i was just waiting to see the hood buckle when the struts popped through. Its missing the muffler, well not really missing, just in my shed. So when you drive it its best to leave the windows open because the exhaust comes in through the rot holes in the floor. Oh and if you have anyone sit in the back seat you might want to get a floor mat back there so they dont see the road rushing underneath them. Its not a big hole... but some people have no sense of adventure. I took the cd player out of it but i have the factory deck in the trunk. If you feel like figuring out the color codes you can put it back in (those crazy germans use weird colors) Its gonna need a clutch sometime in the near future but the car will probably fall apart before then. The down pipe has been fixed apparently all the VWs need that. The car is really only good for parts, im not sure what parts because nothing works. The drivers door is missing the lock cylinder and the passenger side doesnt work so dont plan on leaving anything valuable in it altho it is so damn ugly nobody would think you have any money anyway. It may be a better theft deterent than locks. I am just seeing what i can get for it. At this point i was offered a bag of doritos for it. I almost jumped on it but they were the chili flavor and those are gross.

I've seen some ridiculous ones on nico. Theres a funny craiglist thread on there where people just post up whatever funny ones or ricers they see. There was built 300zx for sale on there, everything worked, except it had a crazy unicorn and rainbow paintjob on it but other than that it was sick.
