I recently installed the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD Head Unit and thought I would provide some quick feedback. Overall it is a great head unit, especially considering you can get it for only $280 online. On to the pros and cons

Pros:
- Touchscreen
- In-Dash DVD
- Front USB Port
- Rear View Camera Input
- AV Input
- AV Output
- HD Radio Support
- XM Radio Support
- Sirius Radio Support
- Bluetooth Support
- Multi-Disc Support
- IPod / IPhone Support
- Play music through USB Port
- Great dimming functionality
- Display off button
- Volume byttons
- Mute button
- Seek buttons

Cons:
- Screen is only 5.8 Inches
- No Navigation Support
- Video bypass requires a switch
- Each of the above mentioned support functionality requires individual add-on modules
- Can't play video through USB, just music
- No power button. You can't actually turn off the head unit. Pushing off puts the system into demo mode and then mute just gets you a blank screen
- Remote control is optional

I'm thinking about getting this. My friend has a pioneer, not sure if it's the same one but he has a cd he puts in which adds the navigation feature? Not sure. The 4100 is 6.1 inchs, would that still fit?

I have the AVIC-D3 in my Mustang, which uses the disc for the navigation. It's very important to note that this specific model does not support navigation. You can fine it on Amazon for $280. Most decent units that support navigation are around $800.

By the way, there are a few pics in my build thread and on my website. All were taken after it was installed.
