Well this is a 'conceptual design'...I saw the proximity problem between the exhaust manifold that would be fixed if I actually fabricated it, but I would have to change the 'hot' side of the charge piping to better clear the exhaust manifolds and then a lot of stuff would have to be re-worked...and I've spent enough time on this thing as it is so I just left it...Really it's just a cool thing for me to look at. And if you see a previous picture I posted, not that entire 'box' that looks to be the intercooler is all intercooler. Some of it would be empty to act as an actual plenum. And of course on the real thing, there would be heat shields between the exhaust manifold and the intake pipes...

True... I was just giving you some constructive criticism on the design. Cool idea though. But I'm sure space would limit a lot of it unfortunately. :(

Lol, this is the turbo model I used...the little turbo is a GT28R...I took some dimensions and the big one is like the equivalent of a GT4508R...HUGE!!!

Also, I think I'm actually just going to go with this setup...

Looks pretty cool... Wish I had the software and time to learn to use it like that.

x2, simple, clean and functional setup right there. You're using the GT28R turbo?

I was going to ask which engine this will be going onto... Displacement? Guessing it is a V-series (V6?) based on the merging of the two banks prior to the turbo.

No. The GT28R is the little one. I want to use a GT4088R or similar size. The motor is a 3.4L 4Runner motor. 200ft/lb of torque from idle in stock configuration with 9.6:1 CR so I'm thinking a large turbo would be GOBS of HP and still very minimal 'lag' feeling. I think before I save up and get a GT4088R I will buy a GT3076R sized turbo off of something random like a John Deere...you can find them on eBay all day for $200-400...

Wow, this is great work SnowRocker, I only just stumbled across it since it's in the Greenville subsection. Next time you have a thread like this, be sure to post it in the performance section, I'd love to see what else you can come up with.

How long does it take you to work something like that up?

Sorry...haven't been on in a while. Well, to tell the truth I probably have a day in this model...but that's because it's gone through several design changes, as you can see. Also, I'm just throwing out random dimensions (whatever I think looks right) so if it were for an actual build it'd take longer.
