A nifty calculator to compare suitable turbos
http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/

Also, if you haven't read it, read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell

I'm having a difficult time finding a working PDF copy, if someone has better luck please post it.

Not a bad find Durkin... Also, if you would like; I have an Excel document setup where I can plot various boost pressures and match them up with compressor maps based on your engine specifics. This is for single turbo applications BTW... PM me if you would like for me to run this for you.

Maximum Boost by Corky Bell is a good place to pick up knowledge on turbocharging and turbochargers in general. However, as it was written quite awhile ago, some of the information is outdated as newer technologies have been relized and implemented into the general market. But it is a good source of general information for all things turbocharger...

Lol. That book has been thrown around the RX-7 forum as well. It's definitely a great starting place, that's for sure. Too bad it doesn't cover water injection *ahem*Calton*ahem.

Definitely worth the investment... Yeah, unfortunately it does not cover new methods to make additional power with more timing. Porter, all water injection will do for a turbo rotary is allow me to run more timing with the boost pressure due to the drop in AIT. So I will gain a little power, but I will have it tuned with more timing so it will be just as safe as a conservative tune with less timing. Granted I won't make as much power as with water injection, I am perfectly okay with that and I can always add it later if I find it to be a necessity.

BTW, here's an example of a Garrett GT3582R plotted with a 13B powered car that I made using my spreadsheet.

With the plot above, I can do this for any engine with a single turbocharger setup. Just post:

1) Desired Redline
2) Bore & Stroke (with units, prefer mm)
3) # of cylinders
4) Turbocharger of interest

After I receive this information I can plot just about anything. I will post them here in this thread to share with yourself and all.

Yeah... I'm an active member over there as well. The bad thing is a lot of the material is good for reference in building your own kit, however technology has changed so much since it was published, even Corky himself has said some of the material is outdated... But still a must read for everyone dealing with turbochargers.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as I can find the compressor maps. Will post them up when done...
